The family company of R.A. Braithwaite was established in 1946 by the co-founders Reginald Braithwaite and his wife and partner Joyce Braithwaite.

The company is now in the second generation and is 60 years old in 2006. The business is still run following the same values in that customer service, quality and competitive pricing are the main aims of the company. We endeavour to supply quality goods and services and very competitive prices. Part of our ring collection is produced by our own very skilled workforce, using Diamonds sourced throughout the world for quality and value for money. Our company is very aware of the horrors associated with Diamonds used to fund civil wars and obtained through abusing the workforce and we ensure that all our Diamonds are from reputable sources, free from any conflict areas.

The company is now run by the second generation of Dianne and Frank Wood (Dianne is the daughter of the co-founders). Frank Wood is a Director and Officer of the NAG - National Association of Goldsmiths which is an reputable and credible association formed in 1894 to serve the retail sector of the jewellery industry, and to maintain and uphold a fair and just way of supplying jewellery to the public. There is a very high set of criteria for any company wishing to join, and a firm set of trading principles, which every member MUST comply with. Frank Wood is also a Liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Clockmakers, a member of the Gemmological Association, a Freeman of the City of London and a member of the British Watch and Clockmakers Association.
